Mobile!

I just downloaded typepad mobile. This allows me to post while I am mobile. It's pretty cool. So this is just a post to test out this new program. It looks like it works!

New phones

We received our new phones yesterday!  After MUCH heming and hawing, I finally decided to take the plunge and bought a Samsung Blackjack for each of us.  The phone is pretty damn amazing.  3G is very fast in connecting to the internet.  Unfortunately, up here in Mount Vernon, we only have Edge, but even that isn't too bad.  Ed was very excited about the form.  I got the unlimited internet plan which I feel is a must have if you purchase this phone.  I need to find a case to carry the phone and also need to buy a 1gb micro sd card.  The screen on the phone is beautiful.  I showed the phone to people at work and it definitely had the "Wow" factor going on. 

I'm still learning the ins & outs of the phone, but I know what I dont' like.  When text messaging, you have to choose between SMS or MMS, and tehn you have to hit a soft key, select the option to add a receipiant and then search for the contact.  It seems like with my old phone, there was one less step to send a text message.  Besides that, the phone is fabulous!  Beats the hell out of the Moto's.

Finally!

Ed gave me his old laptop since he got a new one from Dell.  I'm using a Medion laptop which is also an Akoya LS.  Not sure if Akoya is the name or a company that makes the laptop. 

It's pretty cool with built in wi-fi.  It's white like an I-Book, but obviously not an Apple product.  12" screen with a cd/dvd drive.  No dvd burner, though.   SD/MMC/MS drive so that's cool since I have an extra memory stick laying around.  No picture software so i will have to load one. I'm not sure if I want to load my itunes onto the laptop.

Anyway, I can now bring this on the bus with me and on trips.

Sling Media and you

This is either going to be the coolest thing ever, or the worst thing that could happen to me!!!
With this new electronic device called Sling Media, you can watch your tv shows from anywhere in the world as long as you have access to the internet!  Wow.
