DJ Ozma - Kohaku 2006/2007

DJ Ozma probably gave the most "controversial" performance since Kikkawa Koji back in 1986/7 at this year's Kouhaku.  He/They performed "Age Age Every Night"  and 2/3 of the way through the performance, the dancers took off their clothes.  Now, the group claims that the girls were wearing body suits, and it's hard to tell due to the clarity of the video, but they are sure realistic looking boobs! If this was America, Ozma probably would have been stoned. Ha ha. It would have put Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" incident to shame.

Sachiko vs. Kenichi! Kouhaku 2006/2007

Thanks to p0pmus1c for uploading Sachiko's performace in this year's (last year) Kouhaku. It's a different  sounding song.  She uses a lot of vibrato and in a more "enka" sort of way. Here is Sachiko:

2007 Kouhaku

While I wait for the 2007 Kouhaku tape to arrive from Mom, I searched YouTube for some performances..and someone had posted Mikawa Kenichi's performance! Score.  After last year's "subdued" costume & performace, Mikawa-san is back to his elaborate costumes. He sings a metal update to his hit "Sasoriza Na Onna".  SUGOI!

I haven't seen Sachiko's costume yet.  I have to search for it.  Ayumi performed "Jewel" in a big ass dress accompanied by a big ass hat.  There was a fun performace by a new act called DJ Ozma.  It included magic & boobs...or was that a body suit?

UPDATED 1/7:  I have posted Sachiko's performace and moved Kenichi's performace so they are together...where they should be!

Ayu's Jewel

Ayumi Hamasaki's latest song "Jewel" from her new cd "Secret" is simply stunning.  It's such a beautiful song and Ayu sing it with such a delicate, but passionate voice.  And the video is beautiful.  It looks like a commercial for Diamonds and apparently it cost booku bucks to produce.

The B-side is also good.  The song is called "Monumental" and is a ballad with a sad video.
