Seattle Bon Odori

The Seattle Bon Odori was last night and it was really crowded.  Somen salad, Yaki Soba, Teriyaki and other types of food

and one of the highlights of the Bon is always Tankobushi!

Halloween 2004

Well, The Bump 2004 has come and gone. We had a fun time. Mike went as a pinmp, Todd/Tootsie went as a Garden Party and I was Jackie O Lantern. Todd won the singles competition in the Halloween contest and won a trip to Vancouver BC and Amtrak tickets!

2004 Lifelong AIDS Walk

Today was the AIDS walk. I ended up raising about $1055. Not bad for a rookie! For raising over $1000, I got a T-shirt, a lunch bag with cookies and a fleece vest. The walk was a quick 5k beginning at the Seattle Center walking to Westlake then back to the Center. Our team was really fun and Michael did a fabulous job organizing the team. As usual, I had camera problems. I thought I ran out of batteries so I only took shots of when I first got to the rooftop VIP area. Turns out, I had turned off the monitor! Dang! After the walk we listened to Americal Idol finalist Leah Labelle. No comment. See Cha Cha report :) Nellie Olson (Alison) was shorter than I expected. After the performances we went out to Brunch at Charlie's. All in all, it was a fun day. I was really tired since I didn't get home until 2am this morning, then I had to be up at 6:30-is so I could drive down to Seattle for the walk. It's time for me to go to bed!

Lifelong AIDS Walk 2004

This is the first year that I'm doing the walk. It's a good cause and I need to give back to the community!
The walk is scheduled for Sunday, September 26th and I'm walking as part of Team Safeco.

Wanna Tip Toe Through The Tulips

Well, this is the time of the tulips up here in Skagit County. And since it's going to be sunny again this weekend...I think I'm going to avoid all the tulip looky loo's and get out of town for the day.

But, it is a sight to see. So, if you must, come on up to Skagit County and Mount Vernon, City of the Soft Petal this weekend. But hurry, because if I get my hands on those damn tulips, they'll all be headless! Now, where are those scissors!
