25 Most Played Songs of 2006

One nice feature with the Ipod is the "25 Most Played" feature.  I reset the counter at the beginning of the year and at the end of December I sort the songs by most played.  Usually, it's a surprise on what is my #1 Most Played song.  This year, I kind of figured it was goign to be Dierks Bentley, but I had no idea what song it would be.  In fact, up until yesterday, he held the #1 & #2 position.  However, since Madonna's concert aired the day before Thanksgiving, and with the release of "the Devil Wears Prada", I've been listening to Madonna's "Jump".  And  because of this exposure, the song has "jumped" into the Number 2 spot.  I must say that this is the most diverse Top 25 ever!  And this goes back to the days when I did my "Top 30" charts as a kid.

I found a lot of the accompanying videos, but not all of them.  On some songs (like Ramalama) I first heard the song on "So You Think You Can Dance" and  found the routine posted on YouTube. New phones

We received our new phones yesterday!  After MUCH heming and hawing, I finally decided to take the plunge and bought a Samsung Blackjack for each of us.  The phone is pretty damn amazing.  3G is very fast in connecting to the internet.  Unfortunately, up here in Mount Vernon, we only have Edge, but even that isn't too bad.  Ed was very excited about the form.  I got the unlimited internet plan which I feel is a must have if you purchase this phone.  I need to find a case to carry the phone and also need to buy a 1gb micro sd card.  The screen on the phone is beautiful.  I showed the phone to people at work and it definitely had the "Wow" factor going on. 

I'm still learning the ins & outs of the phone, but I know what I dont' like.  When text messaging, you have to choose between SMS or MMS, and tehn you have to hit a soft key, select the option to add a receipiant and then search for the contact.  It seems like with my old phone, there was one less step to send a text message.  Besides that, the phone is fabulous!  Beats the hell out of the Moto's.

Delirious

Well, it's about time!  Eddie Murphy's "Delirious" is FINALLY coming to DVD in February 2007.  This is my all time favorite Stand up comedy routine.  In fact, it may be one of my all time favorite comedy "movies" of all time.  A couple of co-workers of mine frequently quote Mr. Murphy in this movie.  Awesome.  Foul, obsence, very un-pc as he offends nearly everyone.  But the skits are brilliant...especially "Ice Cream" and what I call, "The BBQ" "starring" his dad, his mom, and Aunt Bunny.  Classic.  And now, on Amazon, you can get both "Delirious" and "Raw" for under $22.

Christmas Pau!

Well, Christmas 2006 is coming to an end.  Ed got home at Noon today so that was nice.  We put the turkey into the oven, then took the dogs for a walk.  After we got home, we fixed the sides.  Nothing special.  Stuffing, Green Beans and Red Spuds.  For dessert, we still have tons of cookies, and Debbie brought over a tray of sweets.  We also baked a Pumpkin Pie.  Talk about Diet.

I got a lot of undershirts, socks & underwear this year.  Ed got me socks and a 250gb Hard drive!  Just what I wanted.  So, this weekend, I will be moving all of my music files off of both computers and putting them on the external.

I can't believe another Christmas has come and gone.  I'll leave the tree & decorations up until next Saturday. After all, I have to leave the decoration up & through New Years.

Called home today to wish Mom a Merry Xmas and to remind her to tape the Kouhaku.  The line-up is pretty lame this year, but I want to see the costumes of Sachiko & Mikawa Kenichi and to see what song Ayu is going to sing.  I'm thinking it's going to be "Jewel".  She ususally does one of her ballads.

David Bisbal

While vacationing in Cuernavaca, Mexico, I picked up David Bisbal's latest cd called "Premonicion". I had never heard of David and I bought the cd based on the cd jacket.  I know, but we had a cd player in the house we were renting and I wanted Latino music.  I just had an instinct.  I love the cd.  The cd also came with a bonus dvd and the video for his single "Quién me iba a decir" was included.  And I must say it's one of the sexiest videos of the year.  Must have something to do with David wrapped up in the ropes :)

Yuuuuuuuuul!

So the racial experiment season of Survivor has come to an end and my favotite, Yul wins!  It's the first time an Asian male wins Survivor.  As a bonus, he's hot with freakin' killer abs!  Second place went to Ozzy who I also liked and was a challenge monster.  Overall, I enjoyed this season.  Next season is in Fiji.
